'January 2016' (2017) explores language as a tool used to measure and access one’s identity and culture. I read translated texts of my journal entries from a recent visit to Viet Nam paired with iPhone footage captured the day of the entry. The journal entries are translated from English to Vietnamese then translated once more into English through subtitles.
